Image
Apek Hill, a neighbourhood hiking spot located at Cheras area. According to the detailed map shown, there are various starting point provided for the hike i.e. Wangsa Cheras, Cheras Hartamas, Awana Cheras and Taman Saga. This time, we went for Awana Cheras. The route we took (highlighted in purple colour). Our starting point is the herbal tea stall at Awana Cheras. We chose the easier way and made a turn at Station 6. Then we moved forward to Station 1 (small bridge station) and headed back to our starting point. From the map, can see that the highest peak is at Station 5 while Station 6 is the second highest peak. Elevation of Apek Hill is around 400m. Good weather! At around 8am, the car parking was full along the road side. There is a drink stall spotted right at the hiking entrance selling kinds of herbal drinks and fruits, a perfect idea for the hikers to do their last minute hiking hydration or wanting an after hike treat. This time, we tackled down the

Bukit Saga Hike!

It’s been some time since the last waterfall hike. This time, we went for the Saga waterfall. The ascending route took less than 2 hours and there is a mini waterfall with really chilling water splash.   The ascending route. The hiking starting point is located at Taman Saga, Cheras. It’s about 30 minutes journey from KL where you will have to passby some neighbourhood areas upon reaching. There is also a parcel of empty land for car parking, which is provided to the Saga hikers during weekends, I believe. At 8am, plenty of cars were spotted at the car park and some uncles aunties were seen finishing the hike early in the morning. Fresh at the start, we took steady steps hiking up to Station 6. Next we were exploring a small hut beside a man-made pond by walking down from the station and that took us another 15 minutes for single way. The hut was big, untouched and we were having fun playing with some flying-twisting plants. The small hut. Man-made pond b

Talk about souvenir shopping, Filipino Market and the handicraft market (located next to each other) would be one of the best choice for tourist like us. Located near to Sabah Waterfront, Filipino Market is definitely a place worth visit to. The landmark :) For tourist, you can settle your souvenirs shopping here! From home decoration to T-shirts, and small items like keychains and fridge magnets, all are available here! There are quite a number of souvenir stalls here selling similar items, so try to compare the price and bargain for the best offer. Be a smart consumer :P Local food like tea leaves, coffee powder, chips and dried seafood are available here too! Dried salted fish, dried anchovies and dried small shrimps are hot selling items here! My mum got a packet of dried anchovies, it is fre

Sabah - Pulau Manukan @ Tunku Abdul Rahman Park

From Pulau Sapi , we travelled to Pulau Manukan. Just short distance, reached after around 10minutes by speed boat. Stunned by the view from jetty. So BLUE lol! The water is super clear too! Spotted lots of fishes swimming around the jetty once we landed! Pulau Manukan is the second largest island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park and it is one of the most popular islands in Sabah. Facilities here is quite well-established compared to other islands where chalets and few restaurants are available here. Public bathroom is available here too. By the way, food sold on the island is with “resort” price. Please bring along some snack to save your wallet lol. We saw people bring along whole bucket of KFC! Slurps! Blue, green, cream :P It was around 12PM and the sun was burning! The wooden bridge – A famous selfie spot for tourist lol. Leisure time on the beach :) Can’t get enough of the lovely blue sky! Quite painful to walk on t
