Click Here for full itinerary. Landed safely at TaoYuan International Airport ( 桃园国际机场 ) around 2pm+ with very good weather.  After all the necessary document checking, the first thing we did is to apply a local sim card!! We chose ChungHwa Telecom which is claimed to have the best coverage over the whole island! There is a counter at the airport and few different types of package for foreign tourists to choose for. Click here  for further details. Besides this, we also apply an i-Taiwan account at the airport’s information counter, what you need to do is just show them your passport. With this account, you can connect to majority of the free Wifi. Hehe, super kiasu that we didn’t waste any chance to get freebie. The third thing we did at the airport is visit to their 7-eleven! 7-eleven is everywhere around Taiwan! You sure can find one around you. The main purpose is to get ourselves an easy card (悠悠卡) . Gunung Datuk Feb 2014

It’s another weekend in 2014 well spent. This time we have conquered the Gunung Datuk, which stands tall at 2900ft in the state of Negeri Sembilan. The journey started at 615 am from KL Sentral and arrived at the hiking spot at Rembau around 740am. Many families, regular hikers and school teens were spotted at the breezy Saturday morning. Prior to hiking, we paid the parking fee of rm2 per car and park entrance fee of rm5 per person.  The information board of Gunung Datuk. (From picture)  The hike starts at the place where people were spotted coming down.  In the early trail, we found ourselves going up on a long steepish hill. This is the hardest of all as one has to overcome the body by taking control of their own breath and pace besides watching on the rolling land which seems to be endless. We took several rests by taking in breads and the Snickers bars. After 40 minutes of hilly land, the slope has decreased gradually. This increased our pace and we...
