Sabah - Pulau Manukan @ Tunku Abdul Rahman Park

Image
From Pulau Sapi , we travelled to Pulau Manukan. Just short distance, reached after around 10minutes by speed boat. Stunned by the view from jetty. So BLUE lol! The water is super clear too! Spotted lots of fishes swimming around the jetty once we landed! Pulau Manukan is the second largest island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park and it is one of the most popular islands in Sabah. Facilities here is quite well-established compared to other islands where chalets and few restaurants are available here. Public bathroom is available here too. By the way, food sold on the island is with “resort” price. Please bring along some snack to save your wallet lol. We saw people bring along whole bucket of KFC! Slurps! Blue, green, cream :P It was around 12PM and the sun was burning! The wooden bridge – A famous selfie spot for tourist lol. Leisure time on the beach :) Can’t get enough of the lovely blue sky! Quite painful to walk on t...

Woohoo~~ let’s talk about day time activity at Chagar Hutang ;P In the day time, normally we only helped out in nest excavation and also nest labeling. Those new nests being created the night before would be labeled. Besides that, all volunteers would take turn to patrol along the beach on the day time, in order to make sure the nests are free from attack of monitor lizards, crabs, ants and etc. Besides, there are different daily activities being arranged for volunteers through out the whole week.  One of the most awaiting activities is Round Island Trip !!!!! Yes, hopped onto the speedboat and had a tour around Redang Island, stopped at 4 spots for us to snorkel !!!! Yoohoo~~ cannot wait to jump into the water, although we can’t swim :P With life-jacket for sure :P   Crystal clear water, corals, fishes…what’s more you wana ask for?
