Morning Bangkok! Today we wake up early for the flower-mission :P after light breakfast at House 23 Guesthouse , we departed to Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lumpong). We are heading to Lopburi! After so many rounds of Bangkok trip, finally this time we managed to sneak some time for sunflower field at Lopburi!!!! Train trip is always the best choice :) Ticket fee: 374Baht per person. Once we arrived at Hua Lumpong, we bought ticket to Lopburi which depart soonest. Too bad that the normal train just departed so we had to take the express train (much more expensive T.T). The coach is clean, number seated and with air conditioner (too cold for us LOL). Out of expectation, food is served! Made us felt warm with a cup of hot coffee and a puff. After around 2 hours, we reached Lopburi Train Station. Sawadeekap~ We had been to Bangkok few times, we always chose to stay at different hotel or guest house. This round, we found a hidden gem in Bangkok that had been listed in one of our top favourite hotel! Taa-daa!!! House 23 Guesthouse near Sukhumvit!! Despite the strategic location which is within walking distance to public transport like Sukhumvit MRT and Asok BTS station, the surrounding area is not crowded and ideal for a leisure holiday! :P You would have to walk through a lovely small garden before entering into the main door. Love the interior design of this guesthouse, everything is simple yet cozy. The general area :) The kitchen :) Simple breakfast is included in the room rate, so we get to served ourselves here throughout our 2-day stay. Next is the room!!! After Ratchaburi, we traveled to Chom Bueng by Minivan. Roughly a 40-min journey, we reached Rajabhat University which is the starting point for Chom Bueng Marathon as well as race kit collection place. The minivan, convenient, fast and reasonable price! Getting ready for the marathon! Race kit collection area, very systematic and well-decorated LOL :) The running route. Information regarding the race is all being displayed there, so there is no any booklet or brochure in the race kit.  The very dedicated cheer leaders under rehearsal! We were impressed by the cheer leader team last year, and this year they didn't fail to amaze us with their energetic performance :) Good job kids!! Good morning Ratchaburi! It is time to explore the morning market :P Hehe, it is always fun to walk into the local market to hunt for food. Our first stop of the day is hawker stall beside the road :P this is our second visit LOL, we been here during our first visit to Ratchaburi last year :P Kick start the day with soy milk, pao and Chinese fried churros. Second stop is a random chicken rice stall :P love the generous portion of chopped chinese parsley on the rice! The rice is nice! Nicer than those famous chicken rice at Bangkok that you need to queue for! No wonder the stall is crowded with locals early in the morning :) Then we walked into the wet market and stopped by at hawker session next to it. Third stop is porridge with some side dish. This is the third time I participated in an international marathon. Chombueng Marathon, we came across this event from a group of avid Thai runners on the trip to River Kwai Int. Half Marathon in 2015. 15 January 2017, I completed my first overseas 42.195km in the Chombueng Marathon happening at Ratchaburi province. It was the coolest event I’ve ever been to, with its chilly temperature at ground surrounded with mountains. Bib collection at Rajabhat University Chom Bueng The race itself is a long wait after all. The registration took place four months prior to the event. This year the Full Marathon runners were selected through balloting.
