Sabah - J Residence & Kundasang War Memorial

Image
After jumping here and there snapping photos with the cows, it is time to have dinner and some rest. Thus, from Desa Cattle Farm , we headed back to Kundasang town and further down to Kinabalu Park. Why Kinabalu Park again? This is because our home of the day is within walking distance from Kinabalu park!  Here we are, J Residence! Found this guest house from internet and totally in love with it! J Residence was built in the year 2010 and our lodge are partially hidden by trees and plants from the main road. Our lodge overlook the Bundu Tuhan dwelling & farming community while the back is decorated with rows of tall matured pine trees.   Temperature here ranges from 19°C to 17°C at night. Truly a great place to seek refuge from the hot equatorial climate of the other major cities of Sabah. J Residence J Residence is overlooking valleys and mountains! There are only 10rooms here which provide a great place to rest and relax. Out o...

Day 2 in Sabah :) Wake up in shock! Sabah’s sky turned bright much earlier compared to Kuala Lumpur! Only 6am+ the sky is so bright already. After having some light breakfast, we started our way to Kundasang! From Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang, we passed by Tamparuli (around half an hour drive from KK) and stopped by Rumah Terbalik which is just beside the road. The Upside Down House of Borneo, claimed to be the first in South East Asia. Basically there is just a house which is being built upside down @.@ We didn’t enter the house but believed that all furniture would be on top and visitors would step on the ceiling lol. Nothing to wow about here, can only have some fun by taking funny picture lol. There is an upside down kancil too! Toilet as well. After that we continue our way to Kundasang. Drive along ascending way and we are approaching Mount Kinabalu! How awesome is it! Stopped by Kinabalu Park, which is ...

Day 1 at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah! Good weather! Once we touched down at Kota Kinabalu airport, we rented a car and started our 5 days trip in Sabah! It is more convenient to travel in Sabah through self-driving since the time is more flexible and we can stop anytime anywhere we want! P/s: There are quite a lot of car rental company available at the airport. First, we checked in at 1Borneo Apartment which is very near to University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). We rented a 2-bedroom apartment which is better than expected, equipped with basic facilities like water heater, washing machine, TV, AirCond, cooking equipment and fridge. Suitable for a group of friends and family! Spacious room and considered fully furnished lol. The only thing to complain is the water discharge in bathroom is abit clogged, so the water cannot discharge quickly. After some rest, we headed to Tanjung Aru Beach! Tanjung Aru Beach is located near  to KK International Airport. The bea...
