Kuching – Must EAT!

Image
One of the main reason we chose to go Kuching as our weekend getaway destination is because of its FOOD! All Kuching local delicacy, we are coming~~~ No.1 Kolo mee Haha, as per mentioned in previous post, we really have Kolo mee on 3 consecutive days LOL :P Our first Kolo Mee was from Annie Kolo Mee, from a kopitiam near Bomba, behind the big cat statue. Our very first Kolo mee at Kuching, served together with some Char Siew sauce and we add on one bowl of wantan :P  Total RM7.50. Out of expectation, the wantan was quite good! Prawn meat mixed with pork made the wantan juicy yet chewy! Our second Kolo Mee was taken when we stopped by to have lunch at Pekan Bau, when we are on the way to Wind Cave as well as Fairy Cave.  2 Kolo Mee plus Kueh Chap, which is cooked with pork, pork offal and herbs. Total RM16. First try on Kueh Chap :) Our third Kolo Mee was our last lunch before we depart to airport, taken at Noodles Descendents. ...

Click HERE to view our full itinerary. Haha, this post is mainly to share about our experience at Kuching, Sarawak, if u have only 3 days 2 nights but there are lots of attractive things to be done!  Top 1: Eat Kolo mee! Kolo mee is a MUST! We have Kolo mee every single day throughout our stay there! Having Kolo mee in 3 consecutive days :P Top 2: Try the 3 layers tea! The brown sugar at the bottom is like a bomb, felt like every drink can taste better with that sugar LOL :P Tea, milk and brown sugar :) Top 3: Try the famous layer cake! Layer cake, or kek lapis is like a must eat snack when you are at Kuching. Not buying?! Is OK, you still can try for free XD The cake is so colourful and sweet, kids gotta like them so much. Locals are so creative in doing this, the layer cake is so colourful until it looked more to an art piece than a cake :) By the way, we bought Oreo and Chipsmore flavour, which are less-colourful version LOL ...
