Bangkok ---> Ratchaburi

Ratchaburi, if you Google “things to do in Ratchaburi”, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market would always on top of the list. However, we did not have plan to visit to floating market this time, what we want is just a leisure tour around this humble city, and explore its uniqueness. We spent 2 nights at Ratchaburi, but not 2 consecutive days :P We spent the first night at Ratchaburi after landed at Thailand, spent second night at Chom Bueng and the third night at Ratchaburi again!  First night: From Bangkok, we hopped onto a minivan which brought us to Ratchaburi. Both of us are the only foreigners in the minivan, others in the minivan cannot speak and understand English well, but yet they are so nice and even try to search online to know our hotel location so that can direct us to drop at the right place. The minivan station at Bangkok. It was a beautiful evening :) Let's go to Ratchaburi. Minivan fare from Bangkok to Ratchaburi: 130Baht per pax. It w...

Sawadekap~~~ We are here at out second homeland, Thailand again!!!! Hehe, this time we came with 2 main missions. No. 1 is to join ChomBueng Marathon, come as a runner and back as a finisher :P No. 2 is to eat all street food LOL, even main meal like lunch and dinner also from the streets!!! Bangkok, is our transit point again LOL :P Initial plan was to take Komuter from Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar, transit to another train to reach Hatyai, then another transit of train to reach Ratchaburi, Thailand. After that, travel back to Bangkok and fly back to Kuala Lumpur. What a perfect train trip, right? All our komuter tickets are ready but yet we cannot depart due to major flood at Southern Thailand which had interrupted the train service to Ratchaburi >.< Ended up we cancelled the komuter tickets and got a last minute ticket to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok. Hahaha, so here’s our 6d5n travel itinerary that covered few parts of Thailand LOL :P Day 1...

Beijing - What & Where to Eat :)

Hello Beijing!!! Hunt for local food is always one of the best part in a trip, so we are going to share about some good local food or snack that we tried throughout our trip in Beijing!  1. Qing Feng Steamed Stuffed Bun Shop (庆丰包子铺) Once we touched down at Beijing Capital International Airport, our first meal was at the airport. Early in the morning, we looked for some light and healthy breakfast after a long night flight. Steamed bun, red bean porridge, red date and marinated cloud ear fungus (black fungus). A healthy way to kick start our Beijing trip :) 2. KaoRouJi ( 烤肉季) We were recommended by a local when we loitered around ShiChaHai (什刹海). This is a very famous and historical restaurant, for more details of the restaurant, can refer to HERE . One of the signature dish there, Mongolian roasted rib (蒙古式烤羊排)! Strongly recommended! The rib was well-cooked, soft yet juicy, while the Mongolian style sauce gives a special taste for the rib, well combinat...

Hello Beijing! Towards the end of our trip, we didn’t travel far or outskirt of the city but we chose to walk around BeiJing city. So here we are, Olympic Sports Centre! Beijing hosted the Olympic back in year 2008 and here is the place where all records were created! Lovely autumn. It was a good evening, slightly hazy and breezy. Not too bad for a scroll :) It is easy to get to Olympic Sports Centre via MRT, both Line 8 and 15 stop at Olympic Green Station. The sports centre is very big in area and two main attractions there would be the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest)  国家体育场 (鸟巢) as well as the National Aquatic Centre (Water Cube)  国家游泳中心(水立方) ! Part of the Sports Centre's layout. The place is really huge!   Mascots of Beijing Olympic 2008! The iconic national stadium from far! Haha, it still looked better from far.... >.<  we were so closed that we got to see tangled wires.. When the sky turned dark ...
