Bangkok - Things to Do at Chinatown During Day Time!

There is a Chinese phrase saying that wherever there is ocean, there is Chinese. Not sure whether is it correct or not to translate in this way, but the meaning is there! XD

Maybe this can explain why there is Chinatown in many cities around the world! So we are here today at Chinatown, Bangkok!

The landmark!

Chinatown at Bangkok is more happening at night where there are lots of food stalls and pubs! We shared about this famous TK seafood before!

However, we are heading to Chinatown this time in the morning! When the sun is burning hot on top of the sky LOL!

Busy street in the morning.

So we are going to share about top things to do during day time at Chinatown, Bangkok!

Top 1: Golden Buddha Temple, Wat Traimit

Golden Buddha Temple, or Wat Traimit sits the world’s largest sold gold Buddha image. The 15ft tall seated image ismade of about 83% pure gold and weighing at 5 and a half tons. The statue was originally being covered in plaster and lacquer. When it was moved to its present location at Wat Traimit in year 1955, the plaster was chipped off and thus revealing the gold hiding behind.

Preserved seafood! Baby crabs, mantis prawn, clams and etc.
Mantis prawns!
Not sure how this food would be served in Thai cuisine but we had tried mango salad with baby crabs! I think the crabs was added for the flavour only?! Since the crabs are so small that you can hardly find any meat to chew on!

Top 4: Shoes shopping!

There are lots of shoes stores around Bangkok Chinatown. Majority of the stores are doing wholesale but they will still serve you although you are not buying in bulk!

Tips: Buy more and you get cheaper price!
