GE Genting King Of Mountain 2016 - Viper Challenge
The 2016 edition of Great Eastern Genting
King of the Mountain was held on 20th August 2016.

NKY and I signed this up for the first
time, at Genting Highlands. With first-tier ticket at RM 99 per person, each
participant is guaranteed of 10 km distance running with 15 obstacles, a
finisher medal, t-shirt and wonderful story to brag of about taking on the
mountain. The organizers also offered a number of hotel packages to all
participants, bundled with two (2) Viper Challenge entry tickets. This proved a
boost to the hotel businesses and shoppers’ sales during the low season.
Preparing for the start of wave.
Our given starting wave is at 8 am and
the check-in process was quick with a flash of registration voucher and ID at
the entrance gate. Different starting times helped to control the number of
participants on area. Everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere in that morning,
accompanied by the coolest emcee with his sexy voice.

Both of us managed to complete the
course in less than 2.5 hours. It was not an easy task with uphill course in
the first half and declining one in the second half of race. Gladly I completed
all obstacles along the course, except for one. We collected our finisher medal
and tee once crossing the finishing arch.

After cleaning up ourselves and photo
taking, we took a short walk to the Gohtong Jaya skyway station for a free ride
to Genting Highlands. It’s a superb Saturday with scrumptious food treats and
nice people around.
