Surabaya to Bromo
Talking
about volcanoes, maybe most Malaysian would think of Indonesia directly, since
it considered the country with existence of volcanoes which is nearest from
Malaysia.
So this
time we flied to Surabaya, Indonesia, for volcanoes, Mount Bromo :)
From Kuala
Lumpur, we reach Surabaya after around 2hours flight. We met few Malaysians in
our flight, we both heading to same destination and having the same travel
agent !!! The world is so small lol…or our travel agent is too famous?!
Surabaya
International Airport :) The airport is huge! Bangi Kopitiam spotted there
lol..
We are
welcomed by our travel agent once we walked out from the arrival gate and we
started our journey to Bromo by a Toyota Avanza :)
Stopped by
at a local restaurant for lunch :) Typical Indonesian style nasi goreng ayam,
too salty for us @.@ The fried banana is
a snack that served readily on every table, didn’t try on it.
After lunch, we continued our journey. From city to rural area :)
The road
getting narrower and we are being surrounded by paddy field!
After paddy
field, the road is ascending and heaven-like view is saying hello to us!!! The
air is getting cooler and we scroll down the car window, enjoy the natural
chilly wind :)
Taadaa!!!
We are surrounded by vegetable farm operates by the locals. According to our
driver/ tour guide, the soil is very rich in minerals which made them suitable
for farming, credit to the lava and volcano dust :) Yes, we are almost there ^^
Layers and
layers of plant on the mountains :) Potato and cabbage are famous among the
farmers here. Hehe.
Looked at
the soil! Quite amazed with the locals’ patience in clearing the land layers by
layers on the steep mountains, so nicely arranged some more :P
When you
saw this “gate”, meant you are at the entrance of Bromo National Park :) we are
finally here, after 4hours of travelling from Surabaya!
Our driver
get down from the car and register for us :) entrance fee needed lol.
Checked in
to Hotel Bromo Permai 1, we are 2213m above sea level :) woohoo!!!
Starting to
miss Malaysia’s warm sun because here is freaking cold @.@
View around
our hotel is awesome! Stay tune for the next post :P
