Saga Hill - The North Face Trail Running Programme

27th September 2014, we are going to Saga Hill again. This is our second visit in less than two months time. We are joining the monthly hiking event organized by The North Face Malaysia. The assembly point is at the car park area nearby the Saga entrance. The hike started at 715am after the warm up session.

It was a 2 hours leisure hike and the destination is Saga Hill rest point. The total distance covered is around 5km. The ascending is via trail C and descending via trail A. We took an hour to reach the rest point. After 15 minutes of rest, we started to descend. There are so many staircases in trail C compared to trail A.

The heaven route! Thanks to the locals for keeping the area clean and kept improving the facilities.

Thanks to their effort in moving this thing up to the hill. Not sure if it's still functioning or not.

We reached the assembly area (nearby the car park) at 9am. The North Face's staff were giving away isotonic drinks to all the finishers. Thanks to their hard work and effort in providing the water during and post hike. It is a rare chance to hike in such a big group. It was fun and motivating. After collecting the TNF chop on the count card, we’ve called it a day.

* The TNF Trail Running Programme is a monthly programme organized by TNF Malaysia. Usually the registration starts two weeks prior to the event actual date and it is limited to the first 40 participants only. For every event joined, you would get a TNF chop on your count card and it can be used for TNF product / vouchers redemption.

Direction: Search for Taman Saga, Cheras and you would notice the hiking route starting point. Not too difficult to be spotted.

For parking, there is a playground near to Saga Hill entrance, park well without blocking others :) GPS coordinates: 3.114438, 101.772065 (nearby the playground).
