Singapore - Travel Tips
Hi
Singapore! It is quite easy to travel around Singapore city! Read this post to
know some tips to save your wallet and escape from hassle!
No. 1 – EZ
Link card
Yes, travel
with car is convenient if you are willing to spend more for parking and some
other road charges. For us, we traveled to Singapore via flight from KL! Since
we don’t have a car in Singapore, we fully utilized the public transport there,
which is their MRT!
To travel
around Singapore using MRT or even bus, an EZ Link card is a must! You do not
need to queue and buy ticket at every station and most importantly, travel using
EZ Link card is cheaper!
If you
don’t have an EZ Link card, re-use the ticket u bought from MRT station! The
ticket can be re-used for 3 times and you save 10cent by re-using the card! Oh
ya, you contribute in protecting the environment too :P

Accommodation
Accommodation
in Singapore is never cheap. If you are travel alone or in small group, guest
house is a good choice. For us, we chose to rent a whole apartment since we are
in a group of 8!
We rented a
2-bedroom apartment at Lucky Plaza, few minutes walking distance to Orchard MRT
station.
View from our living room, Takeshimaya is just opposite our apartment!

Walk to save money!
In
Singapore, public transport is very convenient, but if you willing to walk, it
is not a bad idea too since you got to enjoy the city view by foot while at the
same time save few more cent LOL XD
For
examples, we walked from:
i) From City
Hall MRT station to Esplanade and then to The Merlion.
ii) From Marina
Bay MRT station, Marina Bay Sands to Gardens by the Bay.
iii) From
Vivocity to Sentosa Island via Sentosa Boardwalk! Sentosa Boardwalk is so
convenient that one can actually walk from Vivocity’s waterfront promenade to
Sentosa, under shaded pathway and even travellator!
This is the first garden-themed boardwalk in South East Asia and generally it is divided into 5 parts including Mangrove, Rock Garden, Terrain & Hill, Coastal Flora and Tropical Rainforest.

The most important part is……. The boardwalk is now opened

Changi Airport
We all know
that Changi Airport is like an airport in a garden, there are sunflower garden,
orchid garden, butterfly garden, water lily garden and even cactus garden! Oh
ya, do you know that you can actually swim there too? Swim in an airport?!
There is swimming pool with Jacuzzi in the airport!!!!
One thing that
we felt pretty amazing is the Kinetic Rain, which is made of 1216 bronze
droplets, moving up and down forming different shapes and structures!
At Changi
Airport, one can easily spend too much time there :P
