Sungai Lembing - Rainbow Waterfall
Sungai
Lembing is a small town located around an hour drive from Kuantan. It is a
famous tourist spot especially during these few years where one gets to enjoy
the mother nature while relaxing their mind away from hustle and bustle of the
city. Sungai Lembing is a small town surrounded by mountains and rivers, it
used to be famous with tin mine too!
During our
time at Sungai Lembing, we booked a Rainbow Waterfall package online.
for more details (not an advertisement lol).
The
gathering point is at the hawker centre located beside the main street. At 6.30
o’clock in the morning, the hawker centre is full with tourists going for
either Rainbow Waterfall or Lembing Hill.
Met our
guide, hopped onto the modified 4-wheel drive and started our journey to
Rainbow Waterfall! The 4-wheel drive journey estimated to be around 1hour but
we spent slightly more than it @.@ the driver is abit too “cautious” in driving
thus the journey is less excited but safe enough lol. However, there is still
some excitement throughout the whole journey :P Especially when there is a
sharp turn in the jungle, tree branches swinging over your head and the most
exciting is when the 4-wheel cross river lol.
Misty morning.
On the way to Rainbow Waterfall, view from the 4-wheel drive.
After
around 1hour+ “butt hopping” journey, we reached the starting point! Is time to
get wet! We need to cross this river where the water is around knee level.
After the
river crossing, half of our body is wet @.@
Recommendation:
Wear rubber shoes (Kampung Adidas) since it is good in gripping and water
resistance.
Follow the direction or your guide.
After
around 45minutes, the waterfall is in front of our eyes!
According
to our guide, the best view for the rainbow is from the right side (facing the
waterfall). So we hike up to the right side and had our breakfast while waiting
for the rainbow!
Breakfast
included in the package! One Maggie cup noodles and milo for each person.
The rainbow
is here finally!
Creation of
the sun and water! Awesome!
After some
rest, it is time to get wet! We moved to the water curtain side and found round
rainbow formed on the water surface!
p/s: the
water is freaking cold!
After some
water splashing, we moved our way back to Sungai Lembing town. It was closed to
12pm and we said goodbye to Sungai Lembing under super hot sun!
