Bukit Saga Hike!

It’s been some time since the last waterfall hike. This time, we went for the Saga waterfall. The ascending route took less than 2 hours and there is a mini waterfall with really chilling water splash.

 The ascending route.

The hiking starting point is located at Taman Saga, Cheras. It’s about 30 minutes journey from KL where you will have to passby some neighbourhood areas upon reaching. There is also a parcel of empty land for car parking, which is provided to the Saga hikers during weekends, I believe.

At 8am, plenty of cars were spotted at the car park and some uncles aunties were seen finishing the hike early in the morning. Fresh at the start, we took steady steps hiking up to Station 6. Next we were exploring a small hut beside a man-made pond by walking down from the station and that took us another 15 minutes for single way. The hut was big, untouched and we were having fun playing with some flying-twisting plants.

The small hut.

Flying-twisting plant! Small one.

HUGE one!

Upon returning to Station 6, we quickly move ourselves to the waterfall which is located at the other end. At one point, we noticed that there is a shorter connection between the hut and waterfall. We have decided to try them out next time.

At the waterfall, we enjoyed the super cool water and the splash from top of the waterfall. The water flow hit from above was rapid, pain but fun. It’s the milo breakfast time with butter cakes and cookies. We not staying any longer after meal, since there were a big gang of hikers coming towards the waterfall.

Calm flowing water, before reaching the waterfall.

The descending was fast and we returned to the starting point before 12pm. Before callling it a day, we went for lunch at the famous yong tau fu restaurant at Ampang.

It’s another Saturday filled with sweat and sense of satisfaction.

Direction: Search for Taman Saga, Cheras and you would notice the hiking route starting point. Not too difficult to be spotted.

For parking, there is a playground near to Saga Hill entrance, park well without blocking others :) GPS coordinates: 3.114438, 101.772065 (nearby the playground).
