Singapore - Gardens by the Bay

Image
Gardens by the bay is one of the newly added must-visit-place when you are at Singapore. Actually I am quite impressed with Singapore where they made their country into a city with high rise buildings but at the same time maintained their personality of a tropical country with all the parks and gardens!  OK, before I was there, I thought that Gardens by the bay is just a man-made park with some weird creatures which made the place looked like scenes in Avatar. However, when I was there, I was totally wowed by the park! Well, it is not just a park, it is a very well-planned development I would say, the layout, the design and most importantly, the environment! There are a lots of real plant around the park, pond with fishes and tortoises, and also jogging track! We didn’t get to visit the breathtaking Flower Dome as well as Forest Cloud this time, the park is very much bigger than expected, so do spare more time here for a leisure stroll. From Marina Bay, we walked to Garden

Singapore - Botanic Gardens

Image
Morning Singapore! Today is a garden day for us since we are going to Singapore Botanic Gardens in the morning and Gardens by the Bay in the evening! Haha, after busy playing around in the real bush, we are being amazed by the man-made garden at night! Anyway, today's main character is Singapore Botanic Garden! How to get there:  By MRT Downtown Line or Circle Line, exit at Botanic Garden Station.   Once you exit the station, main entrance of the garden is just in front of you :) Spotted a time capsule which was sealed on Boxing day 2015 to commemorate the opening of Downtown MRT Line 2. So meaningful! The best thing is... no entrance fee required for the botanic garden! For Orchid Garden, charges applied but is totally worth it! The garden is very much larger than expected! Lots of garden with different themes inside and the track is spacious enough for jogging, cycling and even skating! The mini stage surrounded by a pond!  There

Singapore - Chinatown, Vivocity, Sentosa Island

Chinatown, always in the bucket list when visiting a new country, maybe because here is always to best place to hunt for souvenir?? Haha, anyway, Singapore’s Chinatown is really a good place to hunt for souvenir and food! How to get there : Via MRT, Chinatown Station (Inter-station of North East Line and Downtown Line). We reached there around 10am, it was a sunny day! Buildings here are similar with old buildings in Malacca. Love the blue wall with yellow flowers the most! Old-school ice cream in a hot day! We had our lunch at Chinatown Food Street! Too bad that we are there in the afternoon, the scorching sun made us didn’t feel like trying on roasted seafood which really looked tempting! Curry rice in the end! Of course, nothing beat ABC in the afternoon! Ended our Chinatown visit with shaved ice :) After that, we dropped by Vivocity since we planned to go to Sentosa through Sentosa Boardwalk. How to get there

Singapore - Esplanade, The Merlion, Marina Bay

Image
Hello Singapore. Our first stop at Singapore, after airport and our Airbnb Apartment is Esplanade! Esplanade, Theatres on the bay is a building that looked like a giant durian. Couldn’t believe that it is actually a theatre and it is bigger in actual compared to what we saw in Google image!  We didn’t get to spend much time there but if you have time, you can join the tour and get to explore Esplanade!  Get to know what’s the durian spikes for and being wow by the interior of the theatre! For more info, click HERE . From Esplanade, we walked to Marina Bay. It was a nice evening stroll, love the environment there where people jog around, gather around for boot camp and even dance together! The view is awesome! Marina Bay Sands is just opposite us! The Merlion, as one of the significant landmark in Singapore, crowded with tourists as usual LOL. Back view :P River cruise service is available! The service counter is located beside

Singapore - Travel Tips

Hi Singapore! It is quite easy to travel around Singapore city! Read this post to know some tips to save your wallet and escape from hassle! No. 1 – EZ Link card Yes, travel with car is convenient if you are willing to spend more for parking and some other road charges. For us, we traveled to Singapore via flight from KL! Since we don’t have a car in Singapore, we fully utilized the public transport there, which is their MRT! To travel around Singapore using MRT or even bus, an EZ Link card is a must! You do not need to queue and buy ticket at every station and most importantly, travel using EZ Link card is cheaper! If you don’t have an EZ Link card, re-use the ticket u bought from MRT station! The ticket can be re-used for 3 times and you save 10cent by re-using the card! Oh ya, you contribute in protecting the environment too :P Oh Ya, now they even have Tsum Tsum card, so cute!
