Bangkok December Trip (Day 3 & 4)

Image
Day 3, we’ve tasted the Bangkok’s most famous Kaiton Pratunam chicken rice as breakfast today. The smooth Thai rice is the nicest I’ve ever had in Bangkok. After that, we walked to the nearest Chit Lom BTS station and started our journey to Chatuchak market. It is one of the must visit in Bangkok. The market is so huge that one could have easily lost in the small rows of shoplots while walking from one alley to another. We were lucky to have the last few pieces of map in hand before the Chatuchak entrance. Entrance of Chatuchak Market Many welcomes  ! Incredibly Cute Bag Nice home déco The market has everything that you can name of and some of them are offered at the lowest price as well. In addition, the coconut ice-cream is a must-try food in Chatuchak. They are simply enticing, making you want to try out every combination of toppings. Finally the shopping is over at Chatuchak. We headed to Union mall next. According to travel source, this mall is...

Day 3 at Pangkor and today is the last day here too. Holiday ends too soon before we realized it. Having breakfast at SPK for the very last time before we left this peaceful island. We loved local food here! Tried their home-made noodles cooked in clear soup with fish! Super fresh! Loved breakfast served over here! Recommended! After breakfast, we drove the car and parked it near Pangkor Jetty, left the car key inside and left. The uncle who rented us the car told us to do so since he was not around, felt so secured, again! Then we travelled back to Lumut, collect our car and headed to Sitiawan. What to do at Setiawan? Hunt for famous local food! Here it is, Sitiawan Cheong Cia Gong Pian ( 实宨远曾家福州光饼 )! Never thought that we need to queue for this Gong Pian! They baked the biscuits inside this “stove” and once the biscuits are ready, they sold out in minutes! We were so lucky since we managed to grab some before sold out. Here we go! Looked norm...

Pangkor Day 1 - Pangkor SPK Guest House

Image
From Kuala Lumpur to Lumut Jetty, we chose to use the old road (non-highway) and stopped by Pasir Penambang for a short while for breakfast. We had breakfast at Nan Yuan Kopitiam ( 南源 ) after reading some reviews from the net. Our breakfast of the day! Half-boiled kampung eggs, roasted bread with homemade kaya and kopi kaw! The shop owner is quite talkative and he is very kind in introducing the food served in his shop. After breakfast we continued our journey to the north and reached Sekinchan! We spent some time having some shoots with the green paddy field which looked like fake one lol. One last jump shoot before we left the paddy field! Good one!  After around 2hours of drive, we reached Lumut Ferry Terminal! There is a 3 or 4-storey undercover car park within walking distance to the ferry terminal. Parking rate is RM0.60 per hour. I believe that there is not much choice for the car park, so the car park is pretty full. Lumut ferry termina...
