Well, we visited Sekinchan again on last Saturday and we strongly recommended you to visit Sekinchan during this few weeks!

Because of the awesome GOLDEN paddy field view!!!!

Paddy field!

Paddy field in Sekinchan is having different view from time to time, and even when all the paddy field is being harvested, it still has its very own attractive side, which explained why this small village becomes so famous in these few years. Well, TV’s effect contributes much on its popularity too :P

Personally, I think paddy field is at its prettiest stage when it turned golden yellow, right before harvest season.

Which is N.O.W. !!!

View from Nan Tian Gong 南天宫.

Some fields are in golden yellow stage while some just started to turn yellow! There are some ready to be harvested! So I believed this few weeks is the best time for GOLDEN YELLOW paddy field!

Harvesting!

Tourism in Sekinchan is getting better nowadays. Villagers here put much effort in making the place better, in creative, informative and environmentally friendly way :)

There is a Paddy Gallery here, suitable for family with kids where kids get to know where and how their bowl of rice comes from.

Entry fee: RM5.00 per entry (inclusive of a small pack of 280gram rice as souvenir).

Spotted at a souvenir shop outside of the Paddy Gallery :)

We bought mini paddy dolls from the souvenir shop :P For photography purpose LOL.
Rm10 for 3.

Redang Beach is one of the must visit places in Sekinchan besides the borderless paddy field. There is a giant tree here where people wrote their wish on a red ribbon and hang/ throw it on the tree.

The giant wishing tree!

Lots of red ribbon with wishes on it!

Creative locals made swinging chairs tied under trees using recycled materials!

There are some stalls along the beach selling food, drinks and souvenirs. You would never feel hungry here! If you would like to have seafood lunch or dinner, there are a lot of seafood restaurant located along the road entering to the beach.

Tips:
i) Try to visit on normal day to skip the crowd. The crowd can be horrible on public holiday, especially long weekend!
ii) Bring along your umbrella or sunblock since you hardly found shaded area in the paddy field LOL.

By the way, Sekinchan is having their second Paddy Run on coming Sunday (24th May 2015). For all runners, this would be a great experience to run along golden yellow paddy field!
