Singapore - Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the bay is one of the newly added must-visit-place when you are at Singapore. Actually I am quite impressed with Singapore where they made their country into a city with high rise buildings but at the same time maintained their personality of a tropical country with all the parks and gardens!

OK, before I was there, I thought that Gardens by the bay is just a man-made park with some weird creatures which made the place looked like scenes in Avatar. However, when I was there, I was totally wowed by the park! Well, it is not just a park, it is a very well-planned development I would say, the layout, the design and most importantly, the environment! There are a lots of real plant around the park, pond with fishes and tortoises, and also jogging track!

We didn’t get to visit the breathtaking Flower Dome as well as Forest Cloud this time, the park is very much bigger than expected, so do spare more time here for a leisure stroll.

From Marina Bay, we walked to Gardens by the Bay. It is quite an interesting experience to view the hotel from different angle.

So close yet so far :P

Direction and information board are everywhere, so don't need to worry about getting lost :P

Dragonfly park!

We were lucky to visit Garden by the Bay during the month of their National Day. There are celebrations throughout the whole nation and because of this, there are special light shows at Garden by the bay when the sky turned dark. Everybody just seated on the floor and enjoy the show, amazing right!?

Awesome light show when the sky turned dark!

Welcome to world of Avatar LOL :)

There was a long queue when we were there, lots of people were queuing to walk up to the pathway, which provides you a view of the park from higher position :)

After that, we walked back for dinner and passed by Helix Bridge.

The Helix is a pedestrian bridge linked between Marina Centre and Marina South! It is inspired by DNA structure! By the way, the bridge is able to provide shade and shelter against sunshine and rainfall!
From here, you can get stunning view of Marina Bay Sands as well as Singapore Flyer!
