Bangkok ---> Ratchaburi

Ratchaburi, if you Google “things to do in Ratchaburi”, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market would always on top of the list. However, we did not have plan to visit to floating market this time, what we want is just a leisure tour around this humble city, and explore its uniqueness.

We spent 2 nights at Ratchaburi, but not 2 consecutive days :P We spent the first night at Ratchaburi after landed at Thailand, spent second night at Chom Bueng and the third night at Ratchaburi again!

First night:

From Bangkok, we hopped onto a minivan which brought us to Ratchaburi. Both of us are the only foreigners in the minivan, others in the minivan cannot speak and understand English well, but yet they are so nice and even try to search online to know our hotel location so that can direct us to drop at the right place.

The minivan station at Bangkok. It was a beautiful evening :)

Let's go to Ratchaburi.
Minivan fare from Bangkok to Ratchaburi: 130Baht per pax.

It was just a short stay since we would be travelling to Chom Bueng on the next day, we chose one budget hotel for our one night stay at Ratchaburi, Numsin Hotel was chosen :P The minivan driver dropped us at one of the main street which was just few minutes walk to our hotel.

After a short rest, we walked around the area and reached a riverside night market :) Surprised to find out that there are quite a lot of shops here are with Chinese words signage and even the welcome board of the night market.

The night market is different with those in Bangkok, here is so “local” and don’t be surprise to find out really good deal for cloth here :P

Love this corner so much :) people just sit here and start painting! Kids did that, parents did that and even couples :)

Riverside massage anyone?

Our dinner was egg-wrapped Phat Thai beside the river :P the cook really focused in doing the “egg-wrapped” process, which made the dish looked nice and taste good LOL.

Giant statue beside the river.

The next morning, we went to the market again and hunt for food!

Our very Chinese style breakfast at Ratchaburi XD

Dining by the roadside :P

And this! Roasted pork served with rice, soft-boiled egg and vege.

After that, we hopped onto a minivan again and depart for Chom Bueng!
Stay tune~
