Laos - Luang Prabang - Where To Eat

Sa-Bai-Dee~

We always have fun to look around hawker stalls and restaurant when we travel before decide what to eat. Here we summarized food we took throughout our stay at Luang Prabang and we think they are all good!

1. Noodles stall at night market
Our very first meal at Luang Prabang was noodles from a small stall at night market, before we made our way up to Phou Si Hill.

Expenses: 17,000 kip.

A small and simple stall where we sit together with local kids and had our meal :)

Our noodles.

2. Dyen Sabai Bar and Restaurant
We crossed the Bamboo bridge and had our dinner at Dyen Sabai restaurant. The restaurant's environment is so good that we ended up spent few hours there :P

Expenses: 120,000 kip.

Laos beer is a must-try :)

Middle: Bamboo shoot with shredded pork swerved with rice cracker (45,000 kip).
Right: Vegetarian Platter which consists of Mekong seaweed, steamed vegetable, eggplant dip, garlic mushroom, tomato dip served with sticky rice (60,000 kip).

3. Xieng Thong Noodle Soup (nearby)
This is a very famous noodle soup restaurant at Luang Prabang. We reached there around 1pm and fully sold out!!! Too bad that we didn't get to try the famous noodles soup, ended up we had our lunch at another noodles soup restaurant nearby LOL.

Expenses: 35,000 kip.

Finished -.-

Noodles soup from nearby restaurant, taste good too!

 4. Sabai Dee Bar and Restaurant
Had our last dinner at Luang Prabang here, satisfied with the food and service here :) A very good place to try on Laos cuisine.

Expenses: 65,000 kip.

LAAB, mixed vegetables with tomato sauce, sticky rice and steamed rice, complete the set with a pineapple shake :)

Love the way they served sticky rice!

5. Le Banneton Cafe French Bakery

This bakery was claimed to serve the best croissant in town! We decided to buy one and try although the price is not cheap. For us, it is a croissant LOL.

Expenses: 9,000 kip.

6. Insect meal
Fried crickets anyone? Or fried worm? Dare to try?
