Lopburi - Khao Jean Lae Sunflower Farm

Morning Bangkok!

Today we wake up early for the flower-mission :P after light breakfast at House 23 Guesthouse, we departed to Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lumpong). We are heading to Lopburi! After so many rounds of Bangkok trip, finally this time we managed to sneak some time for sunflower field at Lopburi!!!!

Train trip is always the best choice :)

Ticket fee: 374Baht per person.

Once we arrived at Hua Lumpong, we bought ticket to Lopburi which depart soonest. Too bad that the normal train just departed so we had to take the express train (much more expensive T.T).

The coach is clean, number seated and with air conditioner (too cold for us LOL). Out of expectation, food is served! Made us felt warm with a cup of hot coffee and a puff.

After around 2 hours, we reached Lopburi Train Station. There are still a lot of passengers in the train, since the train is going north, many of them are heading to Chiang Mai from Bangkok via train! Can consider next time, hehehe :P

There are few minivan drivers approached us once we stepped out from Lopburi Train station. Our destination is Khao Jean Lae (sunflower field), majority of the drivers that approached us told us that all the sunflowers at Khao Jean Lae were harvested and the field was empty! They suggested us another private sunflower field. We refused LOL and walked towards Lopburi city centre.

Temple located opposite to the Monkey Temple.

Then we found this Monkey Temple located next to the main street. Spent some time here and amazed by those monkeys here :P

Gentle reminder: Please be more careful when you are here, the monkeys are naughty that they like to tease you if you are scared of them! We saw a baby monkey hopped onto backpack of a tourist and refused to go away!

After that, we tried to get direction to Khao Jean Lae from locals...although we cannot communicate well with them, they are so helpful :) At the end, we managed to hop onto a lorry-type-tuktuk which stopped at the junction to Khao Jean Lae sunflower farm!

There are quite a numbers of tuktuk here with different route, the tuktuk to Khao Jean Lae is a GREEN tuktuk!
We stopped here....Landmark is a cafe and a field of unknown yellow flowers!

We are here.....2.8km more to Khao Jean Lae sunflower farm....proven that all sunflowers are harvested and the farm is empty with dried leaves now....Thus, we didn't make our way there but spent some time at the cafe and the yellow flowers field. No sunflower but we got yellow flowers LOL.

Tips: We were there around mid of Jan. In order to catch the marvellous sunflower view, the best is to come on December!

After few hours of doing-nothing-but-facing-the-sea-of-flower, we took the green colour tuktuk to go back to Lopburi town again. Then, we chose to go back Bangkok via minivan. Super convenient and the price is reasonable. Minivan service in Thailand is always one of the best choice to travel across different cities!

Operated by KO Van Station. Can be easily spotted along the main street.
Fare: 120Baht per person. Around 2hours journey from Lopburi to Bangkok.

Dear sunflower, we shall meet again in future :P
