Sabah - Filipino market & Handicraft Market
Here comes
the last day of our 5D4N Sabah trip. Nothing much for the last day, just had
some leisure walk around the city and do some souvenir shopping.
Talk about souvenir shopping, Filipino Market and the handicraft market (located next to
each other) would be one of the best choice for tourist like us. Located near to Sabah Waterfront, Filipino Market is definitely a place worth visit to.
The landmark :)
For
tourist, you can settle your souvenirs shopping here! From home decoration to
T-shirts, and small items like keychains and fridge magnets, all are available
here!
There are
quite a number of souvenir stalls here selling similar items, so try to compare
the price and bargain for the best offer. Be a smart consumer :P
Local food
like tea leaves, coffee powder, chips and dried seafood are available here too!
Dried salted fish, dried anchovies and dried small shrimps are hot selling
items here! My mum got a packet of dried anchovies, it is fresh and the price
is slightly cheaper here (should have buy more, haha).
You can
even find dried abalone here! I am quite sad to see this… poor little seahorse
:(
We still have some time (and some petrol too), so we actually drive to
University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to have a look at the university with sea view!
This photo is taken from one of the tutorial class! Nice sea view when attending
tutorial class!
Time to
wave goodbye to sunny Sabah. Sabah is definitely a highly recommended place to
visit if you plan to have a short trip in Malaysia. Support local tourism :)
End our
5D4N Sabah post with a cup of Sabah tea.
