Seatru - Part 2 Hello Turtles :P
When the sky turned dark, we started our night patrol
activity along the beach. Kept quiet and
paid attention since mother turtle might land on the beach any time. Oh ya, all
of us in dark clothes and with torchlight (preferred red light).
It was our first night at Chagar Hutang beach, when the
staff noticed some shadow on the water surface (they have super good eyesight
lol), all of us are so excited waiting for the mother turtle to land on the
beach !! After awhile, a mother turtle was spotted crawling up the beach!!! So
excited !!! The mother turtle busy doing her body pitting, egg chamfering while
we sit on the land, watching her patiently lol :P
Oh ya, she is laying her eggs lol…pingpong pingpong :P When
she get her job done, she enjoyed her time sand bathing and after that she
would crawl back to the sea :)
That peaceful night, we welcomed 3 mother turtles, watching
them laid their eggs and back to the sea :) We helped out the staff reallocate
the turtle eggs too (not for all nests, depends on their location).
Bonus of the night: starry starry night!!! If you are lucky
enough you might see meteor stars over your head lol :P
Morning!!! ^^ Early in the morning, we got a surprise!! :P
There is a mother turtle trapped on the beach due to the low tide, she cannot
swim back to the sea :( so pity..luckily the sun is not that strong and once
the tide is ok for her, she left happily lol :)
Turtle’s flippers-print on the beach :P
One of the day time activity – nest checking :)
Below the mesh, there is a nest of baby turtles waiting
impatiently for their time to hatch lol :P
Hehe, so we welcomed those freshly-hatched baby turtles :P
They are so cute!!!
Bathing time :P
All these baby turtles would be released back to the sea in
the evening, to kick start their adventurous life :P
Next post, we gonna talk about day time activities at Chagar
Hutang ^^ stay tuned :)
