Sabah - Rumah Terbalik @ Tamparuli, Kinabalu Park & Desa Cattle Farm @ Kundasang
Day 2 in
Sabah :)
Wake up in
shock! Sabah’s sky turned bright much earlier compared to Kuala Lumpur! Only
6am+ the sky is so bright already. After having some light breakfast, we
started our way to Kundasang!
From Kota
Kinabalu to Kundasang, we passed by Tamparuli (around half an hour drive from
KK) and stopped by Rumah Terbalik which is just beside the road.
The Upside
Down House of Borneo, claimed to be the first in South East Asia.
Basically
there is just a house which is being built upside down @.@
We didn’t
enter the house but believed that all furniture would be on top and visitors
would step on the ceiling lol.
Nothing to
wow about here, can only have some fun by taking funny picture lol.
There is an
upside down kancil too!
Toilet as
well.
After that
we continue our way to Kundasang.
Drive along ascending way and we are approaching Mount Kinabalu! How awesome is it!
Stopped by
Kinabalu Park, which is a World Heritage Site.
Found out
that there is a botanical garden and few short trails for jungle trekking.
The trail
is easy and well-maintained, suitable for kids too!
Some random
creature spotted in the botanical garden.
We
continued our way and finally we reached Kundasang town! It is so hard to find
a place for lunch and we ended up having late lunch at KFC, haha!
Kundasang
is really a small town where there is only one petrol station available here.
So please make sure you refill your car’s petrol if necessary (majority is
ascending way @.@).
The
tiniest, cutest, simplest petrol station I ever see! Credit card is useless
here!
Kundasang
War Memorial can be easily spotted beside the main road. At the junction right
in front of Kundasang War Memorial, there is a signboard which directs you to
Desa Cattle Farm! Follow the direction and drive straight (there is only one
road though). After some uphill village road, you would see another signboard
directs you turning to the left side and here you reached the fake New Zealand,
Desa Cattle Farm!
Welcome!
We had fun
taking photos with the cows while they enjoy themselves on the grass, eating,
moo-ing or lazy-ing!
We were
there around 2PM but the weather was just like early in the morning! We are not
sweating at all although we run here and there snapping photos, thanks to the
chilled breeze that make us felt so comfortable!
Our lucky
day! Bumped into a worker who chased all the cows back into their “milking house”
and we got to have some really close cow shoot!
So close!
And closer!
So close
where we can even touch them! But not dare to do so :P Heard that the cows are
imported from New Zealand, the real New Zealand lol.
Actually
the cows are surrounded by flies @.@ This explained why their tails are so busy
swinging around. They need a bath, haha.
All cows
are being chased here! They are queuing for their milking process!
Food is
served during the process, so in fact, every cow is concentrating in eating
lol.
Quite
amazed by their productivity lol.
Visitor can
try to some milk products like fresh milk, chocolate flavored milk, ice cream,
yogurt and etc there.
