Pangkor Day 1 - Pangkor SPK Guest House

From Kuala Lumpur to Lumut Jetty, we chose to use the old road (non-highway) and stopped by Pasir Penambang for a short while for breakfast. We had breakfast at Nan Yuan Kopitiam (南源) after reading some reviews from the net.

Our breakfast of the day! Half-boiled kampung eggs, roasted bread with homemade kaya and kopi kaw! The shop owner is quite talkative and he is very kind in introducing the food served in his shop.

After breakfast we continued our journey to the north and reached Sekinchan! We spent some time having some shoots with the green paddy field which looked like fake one lol.

One last jump shoot before we left the paddy field! Good one!

After around 2hours of drive, we reached Lumut Ferry Terminal! There is a 3 or 4-storey undercover car park within walking distance to the ferry terminal. Parking rate is RM0.60 per hour. I believe that there is not much choice for the car park, so the car park is pretty full.

Lumut ferry terminal.

There are few different ferry companies here which offered same ticket price.

After that, we bought our ferry tickets and ready to depart to the island in strong wave and big rain! Thank god for safe landing. Actually the ferry is quite big and stable on the waves.

2-way ferry ticket: RM10 for adult and RM5 for kid (Keep your ticket since you need it for return trip).

The ferry journey took less than 1hour and we landed at Sungai Pinang Kecil (SPK) Ferry Terminal. Our guest house is less than 5 minutes walking distance from the ferry terminal. Super convenient!

Here we are, Pangkor SPK Guest House!

Pangkor SPK Guest House is established since year 2012. It is a small and cozy guest house with eco design. It located in the area where majority residences are locals and thus it was super easy for us to settle our breakfast! Many choices within walking distance! Do expect warm hospitality from the kind lady owner and friendly greeting from other residences!

A DIY "Bed" signboard in front of the guest house.

The lobby. Love the hammock!

A lots of comics and novels available here! Free for reading.

I believe the guest house owner is a DIY lover. There is surprise everywhere around the guest house. Just like this! An angry bird sitting under the wooden pillar.

A DIY map of Pangkor Island!

After 2nights stayed over here, I think I know why this guest house is having all positive reviews in Trip Advisor! A helpful and passionate owner as well as a clean and comfy room, the stay here had brightened our trip!

At night, after our seafood dinner, we walked from SPK to Pangkor town! So it is still within walking lol. Bumped into a kind uncle who offered us a rented car and we ended up drived away a Proton Saga!

We rented a Proton Saga from Saturday night until Monday morning with only RM90! What a great deal! The car cannot be locked and thus we didn’t lock the car throughout the days there! Felt so secured! Haha.

We ended the day by having potato chips and beers at Pantai Pasir Bogak. Enjoyed the quiet beach with chilly breeze blowing towards the face. What a leisure night!
