Bangkok - 丁财发虾丸面

What to eat in Bangkok? Haha, dessert from After You is a must for me :P

What else? Seafood at Chinatown? Chicken rice at Pratunam? Papaya salad at Som Tam Nua? Too mainstream for you?!

Let’s try this! Prawn meat ball noodle at Ding Cai Fatt!( 丁财发虾丸面).

丁财发 is a small shop hidden in a corner of Bangkok :P We spent some time walking on the unknown path before we able to reach there. Thanks to its popularity among locals, we managed to reach the hidden restaurant after guidance given by random passer-by :P

The restaurant! Image from Google Street View is closed LOL :P 丁财发虾丸面!

丁财发虾丸面 located some where around Sukhumvit 62.

It is a simple restaurant, where everyone there can hardly speak English. The only menu is full with Thai words that we can’t understand. However, everyone there is being so nice and patient with us, we ended up managed to place our order using body language :P

The menu!

Our noodles with the signature prawn meat ball! According to info we read from a news article, the tempting prawn meat ball is handmade based on secret recipe inherited from the family!

Totally worth the journey travelling here!

Signature Thai iced tea!

We add on order for this fried bean curd :P since we noticed that customers around us are all with this :P The pink colour sauce is dipping sauce for the bean curd :P We knew it after the owner’s son came over our desk and demonstrated to us XD

The best prawn meat ball!!!! The noodles are served with 4 prawn meat balls but you can always add-on if you wish to :P

The open cooking area. We actually placed our order here by pointing this and that :P

We got the chance to talk to the owner, he is from a Chinese family but he can't speak Chinese. His mother who was there as well can speak Hokkian!!! We felt so excited to realized this although we can't really speak well in Hokkian! :P

After a satisfying meal, we left the restaurant with bean curd on our hands LOL :P Take away fried bean curd as snack :P

By the way, the hidden store we went is the original shop, there is another branch located right below the Bang Chak BTS Station.

This branch should be much easier to be found. Of course, less walking LOL :P

丁财发虾丸面 gives us a wonderful ending of our Bangkok - River Kwai - Kanchanaburi - Bangkok trip in year 2015!

แล้วพบกันอีก See you again!
