Kuching - Top 7 Things to Do!

Click HERE to view our full itinerary.

Haha, this post is mainly to share about our experience at Kuching, Sarawak, if u have only 3 days 2 nights but there are lots of attractive things to be done!

Top 1: Eat Kolo mee!

Kolo mee is a MUST! We have Kolo mee every single day throughout our stay there!

Having Kolo mee in 3 consecutive days :P

Top 2: Try the 3 layers tea!

The brown sugar at the bottom is like a bomb, felt like every drink can taste better with that sugar LOL :P

Tea, milk and brown sugar :)

Top 3: Try the famous layer cake!

Layer cake, or kek lapis is like a must eat snack when you are at Kuching. Not buying?! Is OK, you still can try for free XD The cake is so colourful and sweet, kids gotta like them so much.

Locals are so creative in doing this, the layer cake is so colourful until it looked more to an art piece than a cake :) By the way, we bought Oreo and Chipsmore flavour, which are less-colourful version LOL :P

Top 4: Hunt for cat!

Kuching, a cat city which gained the name since its name sound alike with "Kucing" which meant cat in Malay language. We have fun bump into cat, either real or fake one around Kuching city centre!

Say hi!

Hey, I am here! Meow~

Top 5: Back to old times at Carpenter Street!

We have great moment having leisure stroll around Carpenter Street, surrounded by old shops and ancient building.

Carpenter Street.

Lovely hidden gem :)

Top 6: Explore Fairy Cave!

Around 1hour ride from Kuching (we ride motorbike :P), we are wowed by Fairy Cave! It is really HUGE!! Cannot really show in photos but it is so far the biggest cave we had ever been!

Fairy Cave!
As beautiful as Fairy!

Top 7: Walk in dark at Wind Cave!

Hah, frankly speaking, I felt bit scary to walk in totally DARK condition, although we are equipped with torchlight. Any way, it was a great experience to stay so close to BAT! Yeap, bats are just hanging around next to the pathway!

Hunt for light in dark, look for bats in fear LOL :P

We had great time at Kuching, Sarawak throughout our 3days trip! This was my first time to touch down at Sarawak, and 3 days are definitely not enough to explore Sarawak, not even places nearby Kuching!

Sarawak, a hidden gem in East Malaysia, we would definitely come back again!!!
