Bangkok December Trip (Day 1 & 2)

Last December, my family and I have had a year-end gathering with the uncles and cousins. We had a great time in Bangkok. The weather in Central Thailand has always been good to us and we’ve enjoyed every moment spent during the trip. Besides, this was my first time been to Bangkok and I agreed that this is a place that is worth to visit in life.

 We are going to Bangkok!

The King of Thailand

Glow Pratunam Hotel

The first place to visit soon after checking in our hotel was Chinatown. We had the chance to take the Chao Phraya express boat service at Sathorn Pier. They are locally known as the water taxi Bangkok. After the dinner at the famous T&K restaurant nearby Chinatown, we headed to Lin Zhen Xiang souvenir shop to grab some snacks before calling it a day.

Friday morning, everyone looked fresh after a night rest. We walked to a restaurant nearby the hotel where it is best known for its wanton mee and pig trotters rice. After the breakfast, we took a stroll in the Platinum mall while some of the elders having their coffee break in the Grand Canyon Coffee and Café. The fashionable wears were offered at a great bargain in the mall.

Peashooter!

In the afternoon, we went for the Escape Hunt game in Interchange 21 Tower (Asok BTS station, exit 6). The escape time begins!

As you browse for “Top 10 must do in Bangkok” in the internet, it popped out that “the Escape Hunt Experience is ranked No.1 attraction on TripAdvisor in Bangkok” (for more information on types of game available, please visit website http://escapehunt.com). For this, my aunt had chosen a time-bomb game and another European room game for each team (we were just too many fitting in one). The objective of the mission in my team is to solve the clues in Terminal 21 mall and return to the Escape Hunt place to stop the bomb. The time given was only 1 hour before bomb activation. During the course, my cousin and I have been searching all the seven floors while looking for the possible ‘criminals’ who have planted the bomb in the mall. Finally, we were able to crack the four-digit code in 1 hour 15 minutes. We were late but it was great fun during the game. It’s a special experience to everyone while travelling overseas indeed.
