Taiwan - ChungCheng (忠城号) @ ShiLin night market (士林夜市)
Besides all
the snacks we had in ShiLin night market, we had our “proper” meal at a
restaurant in ShiLin too.
Menu of all
the food served here and the price stated clearly with 3 languages, you sure
can understand one of these.
Interior view.
One of the
famous food here is this pork liver soup! I am not a fan of pork liver but
can’t be denied, this soup tastes so nice! Ok, maybe it doesn’t look nice, but
it tastes nice :P Only costs us TWD 40 for this! So happy with the price lol.
Felt not
satisfied without rice and here served the rice. One of the must-eat-food at
Taiwan, braised pork rice! We love this so much that we had 3 braised pork rice
at 3 different restaurant through out
the trip.
Braised
pork on top of white rice, served together with some pickled cucumber, so
yummy!! TWD 25 for this super yummy rice that I can eat everyday.
The next
is…STINKY TOFU !!! Crispy fried Tofu served together with some pickled cabbage
and coriander (Chinese parsley). Chinese parsley is commonly used in many
Taiwanese cuisine and it seems match with every food.
Ta-daa!!
The next is egg and oyster omelet.
They even have
a small stall beside the restaurant just for this omelet!
Busy staff
with ready-to-be-omelet lol.
By MRT,
take a train on DanShui line (淡水线) and exit at JianTan station (剑潭站).
