Pisang Waterfall

After the last relaxing trekking at Setia Alam in February, we were heading for Pisang Waterfall this time. It is located at Jungle Lodge Alang Sedayu, Gombak and it took us about 45 minutes driving from Sungai Buloh. The parking fee is RM5 and the head charge is RM1 per person.

We started trekking at 845am and reached the waterfall around 10am. The spot is crowded with visitors on the Saturday morning. Besides the abseiling activity happening at the near-vertical fall, a group of avid photographers were spotted with the posing models at the main fall. We took some snacks and drinks while taking the turn to get into the water.

From the car park, we walked straight until we noticed this shelter. Cross this river and followed the stream.

After that, we noticed that we are actually just underneath Karak Highway!

Followed the stream and we found 2 big tunnels!

Walked across the tunnel! This photo shown how big the tunnel is...

Looked like an aerospace chamber?

After crossing the tunnel, we met the glow and entered the jungle!

We enjoyed walking around in the jungle, it would be better without attacks from leeches LOL!

The waterfall! Pisang Waterfall!

Waterfall Rapids!!!

There are few tips worth sharing post the trekking:
  1. Always follow the river stream. After went through the huge yet mysterious tunnel, follow the river stream and take time to enjoy the cool water on your feet. Take the right turn at the confluence. This is what I learnt from the internet blogger.
  2. Take sandals instead of sport shoes as the bottom gets wet while crossing the river. You can spot the leeches easily on your feet and toes with the sandals. Prepare some salt along to get rid of those nasty creatures.
  3. Make sure that sandals you wear is good in gripping since rocks in the river and waterfall are quite slippery.
  4. Wear dry-fit attire.
  5. Reach the earlier the better. Expect the crowd during weekends and public holidays. It is always a good idea to reach the waterfall as early (I would say 8-9 am). You can enjoy the rapids from above and the touch of chilling water pouring to your senses.

In overall, Pisang waterfall is a lovely weekend-getaway for those fond of nature, river trekking and beautiful falls for its flat trek and cooling water.
