Animal lovers, raise your hands up! During our last family trip to Bangkok, we allocate some time to pay a visit to Safari World Bangkok. At first we just thought that this is just a normal zoo where kids get happy to see all the animals in flash cards or books turned alive, nothing else special.

Area of Safari World is
around 800,000 square meter (info from internet) which consists of Safari Park
and Marine Park. This is the biggest open-air zoo in Asia!
We had so much fun over
there! I think adults enjoyed the session more than kids LOL :P If you think
Safari World is just a normal zoo, you are WRONG!
First of all, the
entrance ticket is not cheap at all!
For adult, we paid
1200Baht for Safari Park and Marine Park package per person. Then another
30Baht per person for Safari couch tour. We didn’t go for River Safari which is
another 350Baht more.
Other than some animal shows like elephant show, orang utan show, sea lion show and etc, Safari World is like an “open” zoo where you get to touch some animals and even feed them!
Sea lion and elephant show :) You can get a timetable (for animal show) and map at the information counter.

First animal we met! Parrot! They just stay there, without any cage or string, I wonder how to zoo keep them from escaping :P
There are a lot of rare animals staying at Safari World. The place is big but we are so excited walking around to explore the place and discover new animals LOL :P

This picture showed how GIANT is it? I never see such a giant sea creature before!
Parrot feeding zone! At here, all parrots are kept in one huge cage and we can enter the cage, feed them and let them to stand on your head or shoulder and take as much photos as you wished! Without any charges! Oh, you should not feed them with your food, can buy parrot's snack at 50Baht.

We bought bananas to feed them! Haha, stay close to them and touch their tiny fur when you feed them LOL :P Since when you get the chance to touch a giraffe? They are so tall and always so far away~

After giraffe feeding, it is time to feed ourselves :) There are food court and cafe around where the food served is good with reasonable price.

Here is totally an open zoo! The biggest open-zoo in Asia! It is like a home for so many different animals, staying here together, peacefully (should be :P).

Tigers! They are just beside us! This is my first time to stay so close to a tiger LOL :P
We are so excited to see them although they didn't look excited to meet us :P
Then you know why you must always stay in your car! Tiger is everywhere!
We spent always one whole day at Safari World! From morning until late evening! We are so tired but felt so satisfied with the place! Although the entrance fee is not cheap at all, but totally worth it! Safari World is really a good place for family outing despite all the shopping and temple hopping at Bangkok :)
Highly recommended: Giraffe feeding zone & Safari Park coach tour!
Fee for foreigner (Package - Safari Park + Marine Park): 1200Baht for adult ; 900Baht for children.
Other fee: 30Baht for Safari coach tour ; 350Baht for River Safari tour.
How to go: Easiest and fastest way is by taxi.
