Surabaya - Crater of Mount Bromo!!!

When the sky turned bright, we depart to Mount Bromo, yes, we are going to hike up to the crater!!! 

This is our little jeep :) 

 Mount Bromo is in front of us!! The sun is shining on top of us, but we still felt cold due to the chilly breeze. Distance from the car park area to the crater is not too far, we spent around 1.5hours going up and down.

“Public transport” available here :P You can choose to reach the crater by foot or by horse. Trip by horse costs around 50k Rupiah, depends on how you bargain on the price.

Who won’t fall in love with this place? You would be amazed by the magnificent mountains view where you would find out that you are actually surrounded by mountains 360°.

The temple spotted yesterday evening !!

The small little blocks far far away in this photo are the jeeps that brought visitors here, then is the temple and the yellow blocks are the staircases that brought you to the crater. 

Once you reached the yellow staircases, you are actually very close to the crater!

Hike up all the way and the smoking crater of Mount Bromo is in front of you!

Special flower bouquets available all the way up to the crater. Spotted some locals bought them and throw into the crater, while foreigners bought them as souvenir lol :)

Things to bring:

·         Face mask since sand/dust from volcanoes is everywhere

·         Wet tissue

·         Sunblock/ sunglasses/ hat – weather is cold but can’t ignore the high UV light

Mount Bromo is really worth for visit, its awesomeness cannot be described by words or even pictures, your eyes are the best camera to feel it, experience it.
